Bobby James Miller  Bobby James Miller, September 20, 1940 – December 15, 2023, age 83 of Ardmore, AL passed away at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his children. He was preceded in death by parents James Alton Miller and Dessie Bee Eckstein Miller, wife Shirley Vanzant Miller, daughter Tammy Miller Sanders and brother Tommy Royce Miller.

He is survived by his sister Reba Gay; sons Dustin Miller (Sharron) and Clint Couey (Leigh); daughters Djuana Butler (Keith), Daphne Edwards (Phil), and Tina Bennett (Dean); grandchildren Savanah Edwards, Riley Edwards, Malena Langley (William), Lilli Grace Miller, Scotty Sanders, Lexi Starling (Kurt), Cullen Couey, Kimi McKinney (Josh), Taylor Kelley (Andrew), Ashley Culp, Casey Smith, Ty Smith, and Shiann Smith and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bobby was born in Limestone County and lived the first 46 years of his life in Ardmore. He lived his remaining years in Georgia, primarily Ellaville, until recently returning back home to Ardmore. He attended Hopewell United Methodist Church.

He worked at Medtherm Corporation for many years as a Heat Thermal Technician. He spent the past 26 years as a Trucker transporting pet scan units and setting them up at hospitals throughout Georgia. He enjoyed fishing, restoring antiques and was a vintage car enthusiast.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Hargrove officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, in Bobby’s memory. Interment will be at Gatlin Cemetery.
