Mr. Bobby Jack Floyd, age 86, of Arab, Alabama, passed away early Sunday morning, June 21, 2026, at Albertville Select Rehab. Bobby Jack was born in Marshall County, Alabama, on October 30, 1939, to William Floyd and Maudie Hulgan Floyd. He was a high school graduate and had earned additional college credit. He was of the Pentecostal faith, served his country as a United States Army veteran, and worked in construction as a pipe fitter.
Bobby Jack enjoyed fishing, mowing, caring for his lawn, and spending time with his beloved Jack Russell, “Dinkie.” A devoted University of Alabama sports fan, he was also an avid reader who especially enjoyed Louis L’Amour’s frontier stories and western novels. For the last decade, he lived with his daughter Pam and her family, where they developed a shared love of TV westerns, especially Gunsmoke.
Bobby Jack is survived by his daughter, Pamela Lisa “Pam” Manley and her husband, Kenneth “John” Manley; grandchildren, Christopher Storm Jackson and Chase Manley; ex-wife, Sheila Toole; and her son, Donnie Toole and his wife, Toni.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maudie Floyd; brothers, William Floyd, Ray Floyd, and Tommy Floyd; and sisters, Shirley Woods and Judy Hulgan.
In keeping with Bobby Jack’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A memorial service to honor, acknowledge and reminisce will be 12:00pm until 1:00pm Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm with Brother Randy L. Blakely officiating. Bobby Jack will be laid to rest 11:45am on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
