Mrs. Bobby H. Zickler died Wednesday, December 27, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born on Sept. 25, 1926, in Reidsville, North Carolina. She attended Vanderbilt Nursing School where she met her husband, Dr. James B. Zickler. They were married on June 5, 1947.
The Zicklers moved to Florence in 1958, and lived here until Dr. Zickler retired in 1987. They moved to Vero Beach, Florida for their retirement and lived there 18 years. Bobby was an avid tennis player and golfer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ida Lou and Bill Bates; her husband, Dr. James B. Zickler; and her grandson, James Dean Zickler.
She is survived by her children, Jane Siders, Dottie Bouchillon (Robert), and Jim Zickler (Jackie); her brother, Richard Hundley; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a private service for the family. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to St. Jude Research Hospital.
