Bobby Glenn Smith, born on September 8, 1931, went to be with his savior on January 4, 2021 at the age of 89.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Luna Smith; his parents, Horace and Viola Smith; and by his siblings, Horace Smith, Roy Smith, Frances McClure, and Beatrice Hillard. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Berry and her husband, Tom Berry; his son, Rodney Smith and his wife, Cindy Smith; grandchildren, Chris Preston, Jason Preston, Beth Johnson, Christy Parker, Rodney Smith Jr., Andrew Smith and Zachary Smith; his brother, Billy Smith; along with several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Smith proudly served in the U.S Army and was a Korean War veteran, serving two tours during the conflict and was honorable discharged, with the rank of Sergeant First Class, in 1952.
He was an independent business owner for over 30 years and enjoyed giving and doing for others. Mr. Smith’s love for his family and his savior was evident in the way he lived his life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with a funeral service following directly after. Burial will take place at Cochran Cemetery.
