Bobby G. Woodruff, age 76, Russellville, Alabama, passed away on May 12, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise R. Woodruff; children, Sharon (James) Kennedy, Karen (Rickey) Mansell, Melisa (Tim) Vandiver, Teresa (Tracy) Pearce, and Bobby G. Woodruff Jr.; brothers, Granville (Mary) Woodruff and Morris (Linda) Woodruff; brother-in-law, Anderson (Pat) Richardson; grandchildren, Jamey (Amber) Kennedy, Kristen (Michael) Mason, Dylan Mansell, Taylor Woodruff, Cameron Vandiver, and Macey Vandiver; and great-grandson, Madden Mason.
He was preceded in death by parents, Wallace and Claudie Woodruff, and grandson, Mason Vandiver.
Pallbearers will be Darren Woodruff, Terry Hester, Greg Pounders, Jack Hargett, Dustin Holt, and Jeff Woodruff. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and many special lifelong friends.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service Thursday, May 15, 2014, at South Side Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Brother Mark Woodruff and Brother Daniel Welborn officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Garden.
He was a member of South Side Baptist Church and a member of Russellville Masonic Lodge.
