On Sunday, January 25, 2026, Bobby G. Johnson went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 94 remarkable years, well lived – full of faith, family, hard work, laughter and love. He loved the Lord with his whole heart and loved his family even more than words can say.
Bobby was born April 26, 1931 in Rogersville, AL, 1 of 13 children, to Connie and Nora Johnson.
After serving his country during the Korean War as a Radar Technician in the Air Force. He returned to Decatur and married his “little red head”, Hazel Brasseale. He became an accountant with NASA in Huntsville for over 30 years. Bobby was proud to be one of the early members of First Bible Church when it began in 1965.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and precious wife.
He is survived by his daughter Bonnie (Gary) Darwin, son Bob (Mary) Johnson and son Prentice (Leah) Johnson. Grandchildren Will (Melissa) Megee, Davis Darwin, Brittany Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson, Caitlin Johnson and Lauren Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Mike Jared, Matt Jared, Greg Jones, Will Megee, Davis Darwin, Grant Maree and Kylan Adams.
We will celebrate the life of this amazing man on Friday, January 30 at First Bible Church beginning with visitation at 11:00 AM followed by the service at 1:00 PM..
