Bobby F. Rich Jr., 61, of Florence, AL, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Keller Landing Nursing Home in Tuscumbia, AL. Bobby was a resident of Florence, AL since 1979. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Underwood-Petersville community center on the lower floor. The address is 840 County Road 7 Florence, AL 35633. Colbert Memorial will be assisting the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Rich Sr. and Wendy Brown; stepfather, Patrick Brown; sister, Carol Rich-Webster.
He is survived by his siblings, Debby Rich-Smith, Jennifer Rich-Hesseltine (David), David Brown (Joella), and Kathleen Brown; nephews, Ryan Vaughn and Rory Vaughn; nieces, Wendy Smith and Kennedy Brown.
Bobby was known for his heart of gold and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and service that touched everyone who had the privilege to know him. Bobby worked in the Transmission Industry for 39 years with TransMart in Florence, AL. His dedication to his craft was unmatched, and it wasn’t uncommon for him to go above and beyond within the company. He continued working there until 2007. He then went to work at WIT (Whatever It Takes) from 2007-2018, staying in the transmission industry. He worked for WIT until he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2018. He succumbed to the disease on June 20, 2025.
