Bobby Eugene McDonald, 90, of Decatur, passed away Saturday.
Born on August 12, 1935 in the Huntsville area. Graduated from New Hope High School in 1953. His career at Union Carbide took him from Alabama to California, Texas, Florida and Tennessee. He returned to Alabama upon his retirement and resided in Decatur, AL until his death. He loved his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Elmer McDonald and mother, Mary Alice McDonald.
Surviving are wife, Yvonne McDonald; daughter, Terolyn Lay (Richard); stepson, Joey Hendrix; granddaughters, Rachel Garzonie (Matt) and Nicole Morgan (Nick); brother Joe McDonald (Judy); and sister Lynda McCormick (Arley).
Visitation will be Tuesday 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 pm.
A private interment service will be in Bush Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of the Valley.
