Bobby Donald Rutherford, 82, of Moulton, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home. The graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Moulton Memory Gardens with his brother, Charles Rutherford and his son, Jerry Rutherford officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on October 31, 1940 to the late Jim and EsterB Montgomery Rutherford, Bobby loved listening to music and tinkering with anything that needed to be fixed. He enjoyed spending time with his family most of all.
Survivors include his wife Martha Sue of 63 years; son, Jerry (Beth) Rutherford; grandchildren, Jennifer Rutherford, Clint (Gabriella) Rutherford, Katie Rutherford, and Rachel Rutherford; great-grandchildren, Autumn (Kyle) Beatty, Danielle Smith, Crimson Rutherford, August Whitley, and Layla Whitley; great-great granddaughter, Kinzley Beatty; sister, Karen (Kenneth) Gist; brother, Charles (Sue) Rutherford; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Rex Rutherford.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Rutherford, Clint Rutherford, Kenneth Gist, and Jon Minnihan.
The family extends special thanks to his Gentiva Hospice nurses, especially Carrie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
