Bobbie Oaks Pressnell age 91 of Athens, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Pressnell was born December 16, 1925 in Lauderdale County, AL to William Henry Oaks and Anna Belue Oaks.
Services will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with George Whitten officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Pressnell attended First Baptist Church of Athens.
Preceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Tilmon Pressnell; one sister, Helen Oaks Abernathy; three brothers, Hiram Oaks, IC Oaks and Henry B. Oaks; her parents, William Henry and Anna Belue Oaks.
Survived by one daughter, Melba Johnson and husband, Oran of Athens; one grandson, Luke Johnson and wife, Heather of Athens; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Mae Johnson and Leelan Henry Johnson both of Athens; two sisters, Peggy Oaks Reed of GA and Jean Oakes Murphy and husband, Ed of Pleasant Grove, AL.
