Mrs. Bobbie Jones, age 89, of Sumiton passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her residence. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. She was retired from Jim Walter No. 4 mines. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Walker Memory Gardens. Russ McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to service. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benton and Troy Snead; husband, Malcolm Jones; daughter, Pamela Jones Mees; son, Lanith Mark Jones; and brothers, Tom, Buddy and Frank Snead.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Jones (Phyllis); grandson, Sean Moore; granddaughters, Shae Jones Wolfe (Todd) and Erin Mees Dill; great granddaughters, Colby Rhodes, Caitlin Thursby (Laura) and Camille Lucas; great grandsons, Cody Moore (Cara) Joseph Moore: great great grandson, Cooper James Moore; and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests house plants to be given to the grandchildren.
