Johnson Jackson, age 84 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Haynesville, Louisiana on October 26, 1935 to the late John Lee and Mamie Beatrice (Reed) Johnson. Before her retirement, she was employed in customer service for the insurance industry. Blondell was a member of the Decherd First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, David Johnson, Allen Johnson, Lee Johnson, and Frank Johnson; and sister, Doretha Mitchell. Blondell is survived by her loving children, Annette (Harlow) Martinez of Decherd, Elgin (Patricia) Jackson Jr of Wheeling, Illinois, Eric (JoAnne) Jackson of Decatur, and Angela Jackson of Winchester; sisters, Ruth Davis, Jera Cooper, and Doris Logan; grandchildren, Janneen, Jera, Dakota, and Elgin III; great-grandchildren, Jerad, Jackson, Anthony, Jannette, Chloe, and Jakob; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-6 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Dr. Theodore Brown officiating.
