Blondell Deese Raybon, a resident of Webb, Ala., died early Thursday morning, April 10, 2014, in the Glenwood Healthcare in Florence, Ala. She was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland Jr. and Reverend Earl Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday in the church sanctuary.

Mrs. Raybon was a lifelong resident of Webb and daughter of the late William Archie Deese and Mamie Girlie Temples Deese. She was a member of the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Mrs. Raybon was formerly employed as a clerk in the Webb Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon James Raybon; a daughter, Elaine Raybon Ezell; her son-in-law, Billy Dortch; a granddaughter, Amanda Carol Herring; three sisters, Cassie Lee Deese, Imaphine Hughes, and Ruby Givens; and five brothers, Harvie B. Deese, W. Z. Deese, Lowell Deese, Elder Odell Deese, and Reverend Marvin Deese.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Marleen Raybon Dortch, Florence, Ala.; a son, Nolan A. Raybon (Zana), Tallahassee, Fla.; a son-in-law, Larry Ezell, Ariton, Ala.; a sister, Thelma Knowles; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Deese, both of Webb, Ala.; ten grandchildren, Dalisha Herring, Deanna Beck (Greg), Debbie Baker (Kenny), Don Ezell (Jill), Dennis Ezell (Ashley), Dusti Hallman (Tim), Jordan Mitchell (Brian), Rachel Conliffe, Stephen Conliffe (Tasha), and Jesse Conliffe; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
