Blanche McCarter Jones, age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the healthcare industry; and a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Mars Hill Community Club and Oven Angels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.L. and Fannie Caroline Steadman McCarter; and one son, Donnie Jones.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Jones Daniel (Larry “Pete”) of Franklin, TN and Sharon Jones Whitsett (the late Joe Whitsett) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Nettie Brown of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren, Mark Daniel (Billie), Suzanne Daniel Stone (Wesley), Lorie Daniel Bain (Travis), Blake Clifton (Pamela), Jake Jones (Meghan), Keith Jones (Katty), and Kevin Jones; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, July 03, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 03, 2021, with Billy Beal officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Mars Hill United Methodist Church.
