Birty Lee “Boots” Gant Hicks, age 96 of Albertville passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her home.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Geraldine Cemetery. Bro. Andy Brown will officiate and special speakers will be Jordan Hicks and Maddie Glassco. Pallbearers will be Jordan Hicks, Sidney Hicks, Terry Gant, Gary Gant, Ricky Bagwell, Stacey Gamble and Oscar Santos. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 before the service.
She is survived by her children; Barbara Ann Hillsman and Donnie Lee Hicks (Suzanne), grandchildren; Christina Hicks (Stacey Gamble), Jordan Hicks and Christy Moone (Jerry), great-grandchildren; Macey, Makinley and Maddie Glassco, sister; Mae Gant Bagwell, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Roy Tipton Hicks, son-in-law; Aaron Hilsman, father; John Columbus Gant, mother; Molly Mae Spraggins Gant, step-mother; Sally Grider Gant “Aunt Sally”, brothers; Wallace, Alvin, Ray, Thurman, Ernie and Clarence Gant, and her sisters; Ellen Gant Womack, Amy C. Gant Smith and Dovie Gant Beam.
