Birdie Mae Rogers, age 81, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2016. Visitation will be today from 6-8:30 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, with burial to follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be John Adams. She was a fulltime homemaker.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters.
Survivors are husband, James E. Rogers; daughters, Patricia Gray and husband, Benny, and Dewana Jarrell and husband, Wayland; son, Chad Rogers; grandchildren, Benjamin and wife, Renee, Gray, Brandon and wife, Sarah, Gray, Seth Jarrell and Nathan and wife, Kaila, Jarrell; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Ema Gray and Aaron Gray; and sisters, Virginia and Doris.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Benjamin Gray, Brandon Gray, Seth Jarrell and Nathan Jarrell, and nephews, Carlos Berry and Don Berry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Alzheimer’s Association of North Alabama, 117 C Longwood Dr. S.E., Huntsville, AL 35801.
