Birdie Irene Bates, 89, died February 5, 2014. Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with visitation from noon to 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Bates.
