Billy Wayne Daly 81, of Ardmore,AL died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. He was born Tuesday, April 26, 1937 in Elkmont, AL, to Fred Daly and May Gowen.
He lived in the Ardmore area all his life. He was a member of the Ardmore United Methodist Church and loved his church family. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and coon hunting. He loved doing things with his veteran buddies and was an avid Alabama football fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 46 years, Doris Daly; four brothers, Foster, Lloyd, Robert, and Woodrow Daly; sisters, Sarah Wales, Hellon Karanza, and Lois Bonds.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan (Blake) Dorning, Huntsville, AL; brothers, Louie Daly, Ardmore, AL, and Fred Daly, Jr., Meridianville, AL; grandchildren, Whitney Dorning, Austin Dorning, and Meghin (Matt) Elliff; special friends, Pat Bryant, and Betty McNeese both of Ardmore; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Ardmore United Methodist Church, Ardmore, TN at 2:00 PM with Rev. Debbie Eubanks and Blake Dorning officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
