Billy Wayne Billingsley Billy Wayne Billingsley, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Mississippi State Veterans Home – Oxford, MS. A United States Navy Veteran and retired truck driver, he was born on November 4, 1934, in New Albany, MS to Ed and Corean Billingsley.  A life-long resident of Abbeville, MS he had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. For years he enjoyed planting and tending his garden and sharing his harvest with his family, friends, and community. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Janet Morgan, his granddaughter, Angela Marie, his great-grandsons, Zachary Wayne Smith and Blake Smith, 5 great great-granddaughters, his niece, Linda Coker, and numerous nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Corean Billingsley, his wife, Theresa Billingsley, his brothers, L.Q. Billingsley, Carradine Billingsley, and Charles Billingsley, and his sister, Frances Horton.

Service will be Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2PM at Shady Grove Baptist with visitation beginning at 12PM. Bro. David Barnett will officiate. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Wayne Smith, Russell Coker, Bailey Coker, Tyler Coker, Joe Dillard, and Mike Meziere.
