F.11.25.25 Billy Bolton.jpg It is with deep sorrow that the family of Billy W. Bolton announces his peaceful passing on November 12, 2025, in McDonough, Georgia, at the age of 92. Born to Vernon Marion Bolton and Addie Grissom Bolton on June 10, 1933, in Russellville, Alabama, Billy was a man of integrity and quiet strength who dedicated his life to his family. He was preceded by his wife, Wynelle Simpson Bolton; his parents; and sisters, Addie Florine Bolton McNeese and Betty Lee Bolton.

He is survived by his children, Richard S. Bolton (Roxie), William T. Bolton (Tammy), Timothy A. Bolton (Alicia), and Paul R. Bolton (Jeanne); sister, Shirley Seibert; granddaughters, Erin Cagle (Adam), Chelsea Blalock (Chris), and Mary Bolton; grandsons, Seth Bolton (Megan), Scott Bolton, and John Bolton (McKenzie); and great-grandchildren, Anniston Cagle, Kellen Cagle, Bridie Blalock, Ciaran Blalock, Wesley Bolton, and soon-to-be-born Aiden Edward Blalock and Oliver Alan Bolton.

Mr. Bolton was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Bolton was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, where he served as a deacon and in the Gideons International. He loved to travel and explore other countries. He was fortunate to have cruised with his wife, sons, and grandchildren on six ocean cruises in Europe and three river cruises through Germany and Normandy, France. He and his wife took land trips through England, Scotland, and Germany. He also traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, and all of the United States except Maine.

A funeral service was held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro, officiated by Rev. Allen Davis and Rex Butler. The family received friends from 11 AM till 12 Noon before the service at the church.
