Billy Ray Wallace – Obituary

BillyBilly Ray Wallace, 80, of Iuka, MS, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church, and was a U. S. Army Reserve veteran. He retired as a supervisor from Genesco Shoe Co. after 39 years of employment. Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially loved to talk about his grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at the Iuka Baptist Church. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Services will be officiated by Bro. Johnny Hancock and Bro. Jim Manley. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Dale Wallace, Jonathan Cutshall, Douglas Cutshall, Mark Guntharp, Ricky Whitt, and Robert Lambert. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his son, Mike Wallace of Iuka; his daughter, Gail Cutshall and husband, Stephen, of Iuka; three brothers, Bobby Joe Wallace of Olive Branch, Gerald Wallace of Tupelo, and Ted Wallace of Fulton; three sisters, Ruth Philpot of St. Peters, MO, Peggy Whitt of Fulton, and Shirley Guntharp of Nettleton; four grandchildren, Amanda Stowell, Abby Cutshall, Dustin Wallace, and Justin Wallace; a great-grandchild arriving soon; and a very special canine companion, Prissie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Wallace; his parents, E. L. and Minnie Worthen Wallace; a brother, Nick Wallace; and a sister, Wanda Joyce Miller. Memorials may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church.
