  Billy Ray Sexton Profile PhotoBilly Ray Sexton of Meridianville, Alabama passed away on Monday at the age of 61.

He was a hardworking man with a big heart who loved spending his time fishing. Billy dedicated 25 years of service in his employment at Walmart where he brought joy to many in his role as Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He also served as Santa Claus in the Madison and Hazel Green Christmas parades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ordie Lee & Hazel Sexton; his brothers, James Earl Sexton and Wiley Lee Sexton.

Surviving family members include his wife of 41 years, Penny Miles Sexton; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim & James Holmes; his son and daughter-in-law, Casey & Stephanie Sexton; his daughter and son-in-law, Jenny & Dustan Shepherd; his grandchildren: Alexia Brady, Jessie Shepherd, Landen Holmes, and Hannah Holmes; great-grandchildren: Aurora and Kayden; his brother, James Ray Sexton; his sister, Mary Jane (Hershel) Damron his sister-in-law, Teresa Sexton; his sister-in-law, Patsy Sexton. He is also survived by his nephew, Nolan Ryan (Katelynn) Sexton, Ronnie Sexton, Randy Sexton, and Rex Sexton; his niece, Tabitha (Ed) Brown; his cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm until 3pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will then follow at 3pm at the funeral home. Burial will be after the service and will be in Taylor Cemetery in New Market.
