Billy Ray Sartin, age 82 of the Wiley Branch Community, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017.
He was born January 10, 1935 to Willie and Verda Walker-Sartin. Mr. Sartin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Brock Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. . Sammy Taylor and Vance Hutton officiating the service. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery, Wiley Branch Community.
Mr. Sartin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jewel Deane Sartin; daughters, Sharon (Denver) Loden and Paulette (Keith) Glover; son, Mark (Tammy) Sartin; sister, Bobbie (Dexter) Anthony; grandchildren, Jennifer Parker, Angela Hill, Andrea Hicks, Cody Loden, and Bradley Raburn; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Berry, Austin Berry, Ashleigh Berry, Morgan Hicks, Logan Hill, Amelia Farrell, and Ashton Poe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Wayne Sartin; sister, Carolyn Head; and brothers, Oneal Sartin, Dent Sartin, and Lent Sartin.
