Billy Ray Morris, aged 73, of Elkmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at his residence. He was born on August 14th, 1952, in New Market, to the late Otis and Lona Holder Morris.
Billy Ray Morris leaves behind his wife, Nancy Morris. He is also survived by his daughters, Lisa Marie Morris and Jennifer Melissa Swanner (Michael), and sons Michael Anthony Morris (Angela), Billy Ray Morris, Jr., and Mark Martin. Additionally, he is remembered by his twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and siblings Bobby Morris, Gracie Taylor, Frankie Morris, Shirley Redial, and Peggy Castlebolt.
Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jimmy Morris.
To honor the life of Mr. Morris, the family will hold a visitation on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:45 PM at Limestone Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Doug Caldwell. Mr. Morris will be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery.
Billy Ray Morris was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. His presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
