Funeral service for Billy Ray Mitchell, 88, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 16th, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in Holly Pond Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Mr. Mitchell passed away Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1932 to Arthur Claude & Ola Mae Feemster Mitchell, Sr. He loved his family and loved fishing and Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Jean ‘Shotgun’ Mitchell and his brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his brother, Arthur Claude ‘Junior’ Mitchell; son, Michael (Colette) Mitchell; daughters, Denice (Tony) Barnett, Pat (Charles) Harrison; grandchildren, Adam (Lindsay) Harrison, Jon (Hannah) Harrison, Amanda (Preston) Moore, Calista Mitchell, Bama Mitchell, Brittney (Jonathan) Heron, Courtney Barnett (Tyler Barrett); great-grandchildren, Charli Rae Taylor, Caleb, Brooks, Blakely and Eli Harrison, Raynger Heron; family and friends.
