  Billy Ray Horn Profile PhotoBilly Ray Horn, 80, of Selmer, TN, passed away on July 18, 2025. Born on March 3, 1945, in Yuma, TN, Billy was the beloved son of the late John Anderson and Lela Pearl Horn.

A 1963 graduate of Clarksburg High School, Billy dedicated 26 years of his career to the Brown Shoe Company, retiring in 1990. He was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge and cherished the friendships he made there, many of whom felt more like family.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Horn, with whom he shared 28 wonderful years of marriage since March 1, 1997. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: daughters Jovina Cotner (husband Jeff) of Bethel Springs, TN, and Andrea Johnson (husband Jesse) of Henderson, TN; and his bonus sons, Keith Spain of Henderson, TN, Micheal Bennett (wife Margaret) of Selmer, TN, and Bobby Bennett (wife Amy) of Chattanooga, TN.

His grandchildren, Christie Wallis (husband Dillon), Keith Spain Jr., Logan Bennett (wife Hannah), Wesley Cotner (wife Shelby), Mollie McClain (husband Harley), Hailey Johnson, Huston Johnson, Samuel Marcum, Artorius Bennett, Luke Bennett, Matt Bennett, Christian Bennett, and Jake Bennett, will forever cherish his memory. Billy was also blessed with great-grandchildren Cortlynn Murrell, Isaac Wallis, Maelee McClain, Willow Cotner, and Henry Bennett.

Billy was preceded in death by his siblings, Gladys O. Honen and John Tyler Horn.

Billy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Known for his humor and wisdom, he loved to tell jokes and offer the best advice. He was a man who always put others first, whether it was taking his grandchildren to school, attending their events, or cheering them on at ball games. His life was filled with doing good and helping others, embodying the Christian faith he held dear.

Billy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
