Billy Ray Garrett, age 66 of Valley Head, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Garrett was born on September 3, 1955 to the late Henry Garrett and Laura Ruth Miller in Georgia. He was the Owner of Dekalb Auto Repair in Fort Payne, a Mason and a Shriner.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Garrett is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Russell) McElhaney and Angel Garrett; brothers, Butch Garrett, Gregory Garrett, Joey Garrett, and David Garrett; sisters, Patricia Williams, Sissy Garrett, Denita Chatham, Elisa Garrett, and Ronda Whited; grandchildren, Daiton Ashmore, Ashlyn McElhaney, Morgan McElhaney, and Ethan McElhaney; great-grandchildren, Emory Walker, Julie Jordan and Madelyn Jordan; 19 Nieces & Nephews; and several great-nieces & nephews who all loved him very much.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne, AL is in charge of the arrangements.
