Billy Ray Fountain, age 71 of Cherokee, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. His visitation will be Wednesday, June 5 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Greg Webb officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain Springs Cemetery.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Hazel Fountain.
He is survived by his wife, Jody Fountain; children, Larry Pounders, Benny Pounders, Gary Pounders, Steve Pounders, Ricky Pounders, and Jacky Pounders; brothers, Bobby and Clifford Fountain; sisters, Nancy Malone and Elaine Overton; 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be Scott Pounders, Nickolas Pounders, Rusty Fountain, John Behel, Larry Pounders, Benny Pounders, and Dewayne Keller.
