Billy Miles, age 89, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2016, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Alabama.
Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9th, following visitation at the funeral home chapel. Mark Riggs and Jeff Fleming officiating. Interment in Barnesville Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.
Billy Miles was born April 23rd, 1926, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Olin And Ellis Weeks Miles. Among his life’s accomplishments was time spent as the Sheriff of Marion County, Alabama during the 1970’s.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Miles; 2 daughters, Billie (Jimmy) Crawford, and Nita (Holden) Mcallister; 1 son, Hunter (Kathy) Miles; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Gay Miles Palmer; and step-sons, Jerry and Allen.
