Mr. Billy Lamar Carr, age 92 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Carr born was August 23, 1928, in Lamar County, AL, to the late William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Carr. He was a presser at Simanola Manufacturing. Mr. Carr was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gus, Buck, A.C., Donald, and two infant brothers; and his sisters Claudie Lee Rogers, Wilmna Brovsasard, and Ethel Pennington.
Funeral services will be Friday. at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Carlos Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, 12:00-2:00, prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Carr of Vernon, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
