Billy L. Cross, 76, died Sunday March 8, 2015, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born May 13, 1938 in Itawamba County to Chester Lee and Athel White Cross. He was an active member of East Fulton Baptist Church where he was a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. He was a 32 degree Master Mason and was the current Master of Fairview Lodge #457. He was a truck driver for Mueller Brass and Trinity Industries, where he retired from. He then worked part time at Riverside Logistics. He enjoyed yard work and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Services, with Masonic Rites, will be at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at the East Fulton Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Smith and Bro. Terry Paul Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic cemetery. McNeece – Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lynda Cross; three sons, Randal Cross ; Keith Cross (Nora), all of Fulton, and Brent Cross (Mary Elizabeth), of Norman,OK; two brothers, Jimmy Cross (Barbara) of Zepher Hills, FL and Kennith Cross (Mary) of Kenosha,WI; one sister, Helen Friend (Wilbur) of Pasadena,CA; four grandchildren, Austin Cross, Preston Cross, Kaitlan Cross, and Grace Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Jim Cross, Les Watson, Kenny Bates, Sherman Pounders, Rickey Leathers, Greg Mason, and Jim Funderburk.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 Monday night at McNeece – Morris Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services Tuesday at the Church.
