Billy Joe Butler, 78, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10th from12 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Belew Cemetery with Rufus Johnson officiating.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Helen Butler; siblings, Fred Butler, Jackie Butler, Cecil Butler, Verder Holden, J.C. Butler and Louise Butler; special nephew, Timmy Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Diane Butler; special nephews, Jodie Howard, Michael (Kari) Murphy and Blaze Murphy; siblings, twin brother, Bobby Butler, Ann Lovett, James Butler, Earl Butler and Teddy Butler; special friend, Rufus Johnson; brother-in-law, Willie (Joyce) Murphy; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Tommy) Howard and Carrie Murphy; several extended family and friends.
