Billy Jack Tyra, age 89, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Hamilton, Alabama on Wednesday, January 22, 1936, to his parents, Edward Tyra and Ida Mae Jones Tyra.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Stan Tyra (wife, Debbie), Jeff Tyra (wife, Denise); grandchildren, Wesley Tyra, Emily Brown, Meagen Carter, Zane Tyra; great-grandchildren, Brayden Brown, Skyler Tyra, Paisley Tyra, Hayden Tyra, Anderson Carter, Grayson Carter, Lawson Carter, Warren Gray Tyra; sister, Shirley Sims; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Tyra; parents, Edward and Ida Tyra; brothers, Howard Tyra, LE Tyra, Jimmy Tyra.
Visitation will be 11-12 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at Marion County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeromy Sorrells and Bro. Steve Wally officiating and interment at Shiloh Cemetery.
