Funeral for Billy H. Deffenbaugh, 76, of Decatur will be today, October 24, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Curtis Davis officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Deffenbaugh, who died Monday, October 21, 2013, at River City Health and Rehab, was born May 31, 1937, in Calhoun County to Charlie and Lou Ollie Deffenbaugh. He was a member of Autumnwood Baptist Church in Decatur. He was a retired butcher from Kroger in Decatur with 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Oris Grisham Deffen- baugh; three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Deffenbaugh (Beverly) of Toney, Mark Deffenbaugh (Dannie) of Pensacola, Fla., and Donnie Deffenbaugh (Julie) of Spring Hill, Tenn.; one daughter, Kelly McMurry (David) of Hartselle; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Lock, Megan Colvett, Charlie Deffenbaugh, Kristen Snell, Jenna England, Daniel Deffenbaugh, Hannah Hardiman, Amy McMurry and Michael McMurry; and three great-grandchildren, Braydon Lock, Lily Colvett and Nora Deffenbaugh.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
