Billy Gene Hutto, age 64, passed away on December 15, 2023, at the Noland Rehabilitation Floor at RMC. He will be cremated, and a graveside service will be December 21, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Munford Memorial Cemetery, 303 Jenifer Road, Munford, AL 36268.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Troy C and Irma J Hutto, grandparents Oscar and Lulu Kizer, and John and Edna Hutto. Also, a brother Kenneth Joe Hutto and John Neely Hutto, a sister-in-law Ann Hutto, and brother-in-law Donnie Jordan and Nephew, Jeremy Hutto. Billy is survived by his brothers, Wayne Hutto and Troy Hutto (Brenda Hutto) and his sisters, Martha Brimer (Robin Brimer), Judy Prince (Larry Prince), Lynn Jordan, and Sue Heath (Greg Heath) and best friend Barbara Hardcastle. He was also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews, twenty-four great nieces and nephews, and nine great great nieces and nephews.
Billy was a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Computer Science Degree. Billy was member of the White Plains Volunteer Fire Department as dispatcher from 1993 – 1996 and 1996 – 2014 Fire Chief. He was instrumental in the building of Station 2 Nances Creek which opened in December of 2000. He was an inspirational to family and friends after his diving accident in 1981.
