Billy Gene Casey, of Medon, TN passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021 at the age of 91 years old.
Billy is survived by his children, Freda Moore of Trussville, AL and John Casey of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren David Jafari of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Harbin of Alamo, TN, Casey Carlton of Las Vegas, NV, and Jessie Young of Boone, IA; his great-grandchildren Madison Harbin of Alamo, TN, Tessa and Curry Young of Boone, IA.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Casey of Huntsville, AL and daughter, Donna Casey of Birmingham, AL.
He was born on September 16, 1930 in Jackson, TN to John and Fannie Casey of Pinson, TN. Billy served in the Air Force and later with the Army during the Korean War. Billy spent most of his career with AT&T building out telephone data centers throughout the southeastern US.
He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed farming, and spending time outdoors in nature. He was a loving father, brother, and friend that was always happy to lend a helping hand to his friends and family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be performed at noon on Saturday, October 16th at Big Springs Cemetery in Pinson, TN. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Billy’s life.
