Billy F. Tipton, 98, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Mr. Tipton was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Stewart Tipton, children, Mike Tipton and Susan Blevins, and grandson, Tip Blevins. Billy was a US Army Air Corps veteran. He was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a retired employee of John Blue Equipment Company
Survivors include daughter, Sally Tipton Cook; granddaughter, Anne Cook Tillman; brothers, Jim Tipton, Charlie Tipton and Thomas Tipton; and sisters, Virginia Brigman, Mildred Stephenson, Betty Sue Nevals, and Polly Putman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mac Buttram officiating. Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
