Billy E. Copeland, 71, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 8, 1946 in Philadelphia, MS and was a carpenter. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam in the Pathfinder Unit. He was a member of Paden Baptist Church, Paden, MS.
Services will be Friday, May 4, 2 p.m. at Paden Baptist Church with Bro. Earl Barron and Rev. John McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife – Mary Ruth Holt Copeland, Tishomingo, MS; two daughters – Carolyn Barber (Mike) Plantersville, MS and Karen Martin (Kevin) Amory, MS; four grandchildren – Matthew Corey Barber, Kevin Barber, Natalie Garrett and Allia Garrett and five great-grandchildren – Savannah Barber, Dawson Barber, Emily Barber, Allison Barber and Skyler Barber.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Barber, Dawson Barber, Natalie Garrett, Richard Holt, Hughie Bates, Robert Deaton and Lonnie McKee.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 6-9 p.m. at Paden Baptist Church.
