Billy Dan Gray was born June 15, 1964 in Waynesboro, TN to the union of the late Richard Olive and Margaret Katherine Pulley Gray. Having been raised in Wayne County, Mr. Billy had a great appreciation for the outdoors. He was often found in his spare time helping on farms, weed eating and fencing. He was skilled with his hands and also found joy in helping with carpentry work. Most all will remember his kind nature and willingness to help anyone as he served the public in the Wayne County Solid Waste and Recycling Center. He was truly a people person and enjoyed sitting and talking with people, especially over a good cup of coffee. Mr. Gray departed this life on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Waynesboro, TN making his stay in this life some 61 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

 

Survivors include his brothers, Richard Gray; Johnnie Gray; Tony Gray all of Waynesboro, TN; nephew, Jason and two nieces, Kristy and Ashley. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Gresham and a brother, Jeffery Gray.

 

Visitation with the Gray family will be on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel.

 

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Mitchell Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
