Billy Carlisle age 83 of Harvest, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Carlisle was born October 27, 1931 in Tarrant, AL to Pete Carlisle and Ettie Noe Carlisle.
Memorial services will be planned at a later date. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home assisting the family.
Mr. Carlisle was retired from Copeland Corp. He was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and carpenter. He loved to cook and watch football and baseball. He enjoyed sharing stories about his childhood, fishing adventures and life in general. Anyone who knew Bill has heard one or two!
Preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Ettie Carlisle; brother, Edward Carlisle; three sisters, Pauline Watson, Margaret Pyron and Aline Moore; stepson, John Pettie.
Survived by his wife, Barbara J. Kirby Carlisle of Harvest; children, Billy Carlisle, Terry Carlisle and Pam Carlisle all of Birmingham; stepchildren, Robert Pettie and wife, Beverly of Theodore, AL, Allyson Baker and husband, Loyd of Toney, AL, Phillip Pettie and wife, Kim of Athens, AL and Susan Mitchell of Fairhope, AL; 6 grandchildren, Leah, Mark, Alyssa, Meredith, Brent and Matthew; 7 great-grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Lucy, River, Tobi, Zadie and Tillie.
