  Obituary of Billy HaynieA Celebration of Life Service for Billy “Bill” Wayne Haynie 77, is set for 2:00 pm Sunday at Clear Creek Church of Christ with Lonnie McKee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 to service time at the Clear Creek Church of Christ.

Bill died May 25, 2023 at Iuka Hospital. He was born August 8, 1945 in Alcorn Co. MS. to the late Rubel and Bernice Whitehurst Haynie. Bill was a active member of Clear Creek Church of Christ. He was employed as a millwright for many years, retiring from Intex Plastic. He was a proud father and husband who loved his children. Bill was a lover of the dust of the earth from which he came; he was an avid farmer who loved growing vegetables and setting up at “The Farmers Market”. His specialty was different several of tomato’s. Need a smile from Bill, just mention his tomato’s patch, his customers came back year and year to buy his tomatos and always left happy and satisfied with their purchase. His faithful followers was his spaniel pup “Checkers” that made every step he made.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson. Sumner Wayne Haynie; sister Ann Driver; brother-in-law, Lanny Monroe; great nephew, Seth Driver.

He is survived by his wife, Bricky Haynie; son, Russell Haynie; brother, Jerry Haynie (Janice); brother-in-law, Jimmy Driver; nephews, Sammy Driver, Jeremy Haynie (Christina); several great nieces, a great nephew and other family and friends.

Pallbearers; Karey Burcham, Jerry Grimes, Simmie Phillips, Iver Vandiver, Benny Haynie, Mickey Haynie.
