Billiejean Bruce, 90, of Albertville passed away on September 7, 2021.
Billiejean enjoyed spending her time reading and fostered a love of books in her grandchildren, taking them with her on trips to the Albertville Public Library. Her love of reading extended into her social life as well, she was a longtime book club member and loved not only reading but discussing books among friends. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and a good game of cards.
Billiejean was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Howard Bruce Sr.; mother, Irene McDaniel; father, Roy McDaniel; twin sister, Ernestine Stevens; brother, James McDaniel; and son, Guy “Buddy” Bruce Jr. She is survived by her son, Gilbert Alan Bruce (Sherrie); granddaughters, Leighann Bruce (Stacie Wilson), Julie Bruce Conlee, and Kellie Bruce; grandson, John Bruce; great-grandchildren, Nathan Wilson Bruce, Katie Wilson Bruce, Wesley Wilson Bruce, and Alison Conlee; niece, Leigh Lazenby; nephew, Robert D. Stevens; and great-nieces, Ann Wilson Lazenby and Hannah Lazenby.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bruce will be announced at a later date.
