Mrs. Billie Ruth Griffee Batey age 90 of Hazel Green formerly of the Nixon Chapel Community, passed away at Athens Health & Rehab, Wednesday, August 26, 2020. A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 30, 2020, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm till time of the service, burial will follow at Nixon Chapel Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters; Ann Braden (Albert), Rhonda Valdez, Kathy Bosner, sons; Tony Batey, James Dorning, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & Great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Claude & Mary Griffee, husband; Ralph Clayton Batey, sister; Coma Lee Hall, son; Bobby J Dorning.
