Billie Rose Sanders, 95, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Elk River Health & Nursing Center of Ardmore in Ardmore, Tennessee.
Born on Tuesday, January 15,1929, in Ardmore, Alabama to the late Mr. Otha Milburn Butler and Rosa Faye Ledbetter Butler. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband Mr. Benny Sanders.
Billie Rose lived a fulfilling life serving God. She was of the Methodist faith. Billie served as a Sunday School teacher, President of the UMW, District Officer of North Alabama UMW, Lay Speaker of UMC and Treasury of Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, two sisters: Gladise Chandler and Sarah Tillery, two brothers: Estman Butler, O.M. Bulter, Jr., one son-in-law Sonny Johnson.
She is survived by her two sons: Jackie (Connie) Sanders and Anthony Sanders, three daughters: Linda (Jerry) Sparks, Sharon Johnson, Marie (Bob) Hurst, one brother Ted “Pete” Butler, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation service will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM. followed by a Private Graveside Service for the family.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Shady Grove Cemetery Fund at 181 Ed White Rd. Ardmore, Alabama 35739.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
