Billie Joe Osmer, age 79 of Gurley, passed away Monday, Oct. 30, 2017. Mr. Osmer is survived by his wife Penny Osmer; sons Steve Osmer (Janice), Mike Osmer (Judy), Brian Osmer (Debbie); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Bobby Osmer (Dorothy); sister Peggy Frazier; sister-in-law Barbara Osmer, and Cindi Raulerson (Dennis); brother-in-law Stanley Staples; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Osmer is a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was involved in the Missile Program for most of his life,and worked for Lockheed for 30 plus years. He was a supporter of Gurley United Methodist Church. Visitation is Thurs., Nov. 2, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. The funeral service is at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Capron officiating. Burial will follow at Pleas Mount Cemetery.
