Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Billie Jo Walker Anderson, age 77 of Lynchburg. Mrs. Anderson passed from this life on July 7, 2021 at Donelson Care Center in Fayetteville following an extended illness. She was a very talented seamstress and applied her talent in creating and sewing dress designs. In later years she worked in the family business as a cashier, but above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She and her husband were members of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her mother, Nannie Pearl Hall Walker and her father, Robert Lee Walker. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Jewell Arnold and brothers, Fred Walker and Doug Walker. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Charles H. Anderson of Lynchburg; daughters, Vicky (Tab) Slayton of Huntsville, AL and Kimberly Simmons of Flintville; sons, Ricky Charles (Sue) Anderson and Steve Dwayne (Nan) Anderson of Flintville; sisters, Bobbie Laster, Jean Garrett and Linda (Jimmy) Marrs, all of Flintville; grandchildren, Nicholas Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Erica Brannon, Hannah Vann, Brian West, Jennifer Simmons and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Friday July 9, 2021 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday July 10, 2021 with Bro. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery with friends and family members serving as pallbearers.
