Mr. Billie B. Elliott, age 98, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Elliott was born April 2, 1924, in Lamar County, AL, to the late John H. and Vergie Elliott. He served in the U.S. Army and World War II, then later worked for the City of Vernon. Mr. Elliott was a member of Oakes Chapel Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vera Grace Elliott, and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 5, at 2:00 PM, at Oakes Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Thurday, 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
