Richard Van “Ricky” Burbol, 67, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022. He was born January 5, 1955 to the late Raymond Windom Burbol and Lamar Sue Clark Burbol. He worked for Cooper Hosiery for 38 years and at Koch Foods for the last 11 years. Ricky was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a true Alabama fan. Roll Tide!
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his wife, Kristy Burbol; children Van Burbol (Kayla), Nikki Whitmore (Anthony), and Zach Burbol (Emily); brother, Tony Burbol (Eloise); grandchildren, Mikayla (Daniel), Gabriella, Emma, Briar, Collin, Bennett, Bo, Owen, and Silas; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen Flarity; and grandchildren Adisyn and Anniston Burbol.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
