Bill Horner – Obituary

Bill Horner was born November 2, 1936 in Hornersville, MO the son of the late Manley L. and Ethel Rhue Horner.

He was united in marriage to Emilie Copher on December 18, 1972.

Mr. Horner was a pilot in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as Major with 22 years of honorable and faithful service. After his military career, he did missionary flying with Woodland West Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama for 16 years. He held his pilot license from 1959 until 1993. He also worked for Goodrum Surveying for 30 years. In his sparetime, he was an avid organic gardener and golfer. He was a member of the Ramer Baptist Church in Ramer, Tennessee.

Mr. Horner departed this life on December 22, 2015 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 79 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Emilie Horner of Pocahontas, TN; a daughter, Teresa White and husband George of Buford , SC; a son, Chip Rush and wife Janet of Cedar Hill, TN; two grandchildren, Donald Glynn Rush and wife Judith, Amanda Jaques; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lee Schell of Hornersville, MO; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Horner was preceded in death by two brothers, Manley Lee Horner, Robert Horner.
