Mr. Bill Edward Savage age 73 of McMinnville, TN, died Monday September 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1947 in Spencer, TN and was a long-time resident of Warren County. He was of the Methodist faith. Bill loved spending time with his family, enjoyed working outdoors taking care of his lawn, and enjoyed painting in recent years. Mr. Savage was preceded in death by his parents Mareal Samuel and Lola Simmons Savage, brothers Willard, Dillard, and Jessie Savage, and grandsons Luke Strawser and Jace Mullins.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Helen Smith Savage, daughters Debra (Daniel, Jr.) Strawser, Angela Acuna, and Melissa (Jesse, III) Mullins, brother Freddie (Patsy) Savage, grandchildren George Strawser, III, Sarah McCurry (Chris Russell), Kristen (Ryan) Henson, Kaleb Acuna, Emerly Mullins, Seth Mullins, and Gunnar Mullins, and great grandchildren Anastyn and Sydney McCurry, Brantley and Brayden Russell, MaKenna and Rylan Edward Laws, and Kyler Henson .
A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Shockley Cemetery in Van Buren County. Chris Cope will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM noon on Wednesday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Friends may also meet at the cemetery. Social distancing is requested.
